Each year, the Loss Executives Association (LEA) presents the Stephen P. Cronin, Jr. Memorial Award to a deserving member. This prestigious award exemplifies their outstanding service and dedication to the Association with their donation of time, skill and expertise in the property claims profession.

It is with great pleasure that the LEA is proud to announce Jonathon C. Held as the recipient of the 2016 Stephen P. Cronin, Jr. Memorial Award. Jonathan has demonstrated his commitment through the contribution of his time and effort by helping to foster the educational and ethical values in the property insurance claims profession both inside and outside of his work place. He has headed committees and work groups and has exhibited strong qualifications in experience, leadership and commitment.

Jonathon is President of J.S. Held, Incorporated, a construction consulting firm, whose work typically includes inspection of damaged buildings, determination of means, methods and cost of repair, estimating value of construction, monitoring job site progress, determining construction duration and delay, depreciation studies and determination of actual cash value. Jonathon has been an expert witness in numerous cases throughout the United States, and has testified as a expert in both federal and state courts. It is this same expertise and professionalism that he brings to his commitment to the LEA where he’s gone above and beyond with his educational workshops and presentations. Jonathon is a true advocate of the LEA and is well deserving of this award.

Jonathon was presented with the 2016 Stephen P. Cronin, Jr. Memorial Award by Costantino Suriano of Mound, Cotton, Wollan & Greengrass, an LEA Board Consultant, at the 2016 Annual Meeting and Conference held at the Marriott Tampa Waterside Hotel in Tampa, FL.

Past Recipients

In 2003, the Loss Executives Association Board of Directors determined that there were numerous industry professionals who have gone above and beyond as a member of the Association and in the industry. As such the Board created the Stephen P. “Cronin”, Jr. Memorial Award to acknowledge those individuals. The first “Cronin” award was presented in 2004 and, subsequently, each year thereafter.

This prestigious award exemplifies the member’s outstanding service and dedication to the Association with their donation of time, skill and expertise in the property claims profession.
