Nigel Shepherd is the Executive Vice President of Claims for Aegis Security Insurance Company, part of the K2 Insurance group of companies. He is charged with providing strategic direction, regarding claims administration for all of K2 Insurance Services businesses, and for creating & leading K2 Claims- the group’s internal TPA.

Nigel has over 20 years of claims management experience, including work with carriers, reinsurers, and program administrators. He recently spent 5 years with New York Property Insurance Underwriting Association, as EVP-Head of Claims and Operations. Previously, he held positions as Global Head of Claims for Aspen Specialty Insurance and the Alea Insurance Group. Prior to that, he was SVP of Claims for Converium Re.

Nigel received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University, and a J.D. from Pace School of Law. Nigel is a believer in constant learning, as he holds both the CPCU and ARe accreditations.
