One of Our Own Passes

RON PAICE – It is with a heavy heart that I am letting your know that Ron Paice passed away on May 10, 2013 from complications with diabetes. Ron served on the Board of the LEA for 11 yeas and was President in 2008. He was a staunch supporter of the LEA and as evidenced by the Hartford’s continued support of our organization.
Ron was born on April 17, 1951 in Syracuse, NY, and received a bachelor’s degree in economics from St. Lawrence University.
At the time of his retirement in 2011, Ron was Vice President of Property Functional Claims with The Hartford Insurance Group. He began his career with Aetna Casualty holding various positions in property claims.
Ron was a devoted to his wife and family. When no spending time with his family he played guitar, hunted, fished and played a good game of golf. When he retired he and his wife Kathy started their new endeavor of breeding and showing Welsh Springer Spaniels.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, his son Brian and daughter Erin. Ron left this work knowing his children are cherished and loved.
In honoring Ron’s wishes, Ron’s family chose to have a celebration of life which was private and by invitation only. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association.
