Event Details

Dear LEA Members and Guests,

On behalf of the LEA Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to invite you to the LEA’s Spring Meeting and Educational Conference being held at the Hilton Head, SC, Marriott June 8-10, 2022.

If you were unable to attend the January conference, our June event is an opportunity to catch up with your fellow members and obtain interesting educational content along with Continuing Education credits.

We begin on Wednesday the 8th with our annual LEA golf outing at Robber’s Row Course at Hilton Head approx. 5 miles from the hotel.

On Thursday morning, the General Session includes three keynote topics. First, we have historian Richard Thomas presenting “Leadership and Loss-The Nature of SC Early History”. Next, Bruce Clarke, AIG Global Integration Group Manager, provides a pre loss perspective The Science and Art of Property Risk Engineering”.  Finally, David Pigot and Joe McMahon will be “Addressing the Differences Between London Insurers and US the Market for handling Property and Energy Claims”.

Thursday afternoon and Friday morning we are providing a choice of three separate two-hour workshops followed by a choice of three separate one-hour sessions, all of which qualify for Continuing Education credits.

The topics for the two-hour sessions are Code Enforcement-Determining the Facts; NextGen-Taking the Pulse of Today’s Young Talent; Combating the Affects from a Crippling Cyber Event.

The one-hour session topics are: Renewable Energy-Common Causes of Loss and BI; Forensic Meteorology in Energy Property Claims; Supply Chain Issues and Their Impact on Insurance Claims.

These presentations will provide a balanced and informative program which we hope you will find entertaining and educational.

We are extremely pleased to provide this conference in Hilton Head. I look forward to seeing everyone again for another successful LEA meeting.  Register early as we anticipate keen interest in this June event.

Best Regards,

Raymond Mattia

LEA President
