Maria Sclafani is Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of The Beaumont Group, Inc., a woman-owned marketing/communications and Association management firm located in New York and New Jersey.   BMG specializes in different areas of communications that include: professional association management, advertising development and placement, direct mail marketing, strategic planning, company branding, employee communications, meeting planning and events management.

Over the past 20 years, Maria Sclafani has been part of the management team of such prestigious organizations such as The AIDA Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society (ARIAS U.S.), The Insurance Brokers (CIBGNY), The Insurance Brokers Association (IBA), The Insurance Federation of NY (IFNY), TechAssure and The American Society of Ringside Physicians, (AAPRP), The Independent Insurance Agents of Westchester County (IIAWC); The Association of Professional Insurance Woman (APIW); The International Association of Claim Professionals (IACP-Formerly The Excess Surplus Lines Claims Association) and The International Association of Insurance Receivers (IAIR). In addition, BMG’s has been instrumental in start-up organizations such as The Westchester Hudson Opera Company (WHO), The American Society o Workers Comp Professionals, Inc. (AMCOMP), and The Richie Foundation a not-for-profit organization dedicated improving healthcare for the medically underserved and to encouraging individuals interested in a healthcare career to pursue their ambitions.

Prior to forming BMG, Ms. Sclafani held the position of Executive Director, Account Services, at CINN Worldwide, Inc. and was an integral member of the firm’s senior management team overseeing the company’s most prestigious professional associations.

In addition to having direct responsibility for two of the firm’s leading international associations, she served as Corporate Secretary to ARIAS•U.S. (American Reinsurance and Insurance Arbitration Society), Account Executive to AMCOMP (The American Society of Workers Comp Professionals, Inc), a start up not-for-profit Association and Administrator and Meeting Planner for AIDA (International Insurance Law Society).

Prior to joining CINN Worldwide, Inc., she served as General Manager and Executive Director of The Westchester Opera (WHO) Company where she was responsible for the administration, development and production of fully-staged performances of opera and special events.  She has more than 20 years of direct management experience including conferences, seminars, workshops, education programs website management as well as special events to include annual diners, galas, and receptions.

Formerly employed by Lowe Direct, the direct mail division of Lowe & Partners, one of the nation’s leading advertising agencies, Ms. Sclafani reported directly to the office of the President and Creative Director and oversaw such accounts as Citicorp, Dell and Xerox. Ms. Sclafani’s background in the advertising and marketing industry has proved an invaluable asset in the communications and event management arena.

Ms. Sclafani graduated from Villa Maria Academy and studied at Elizabeth Seton College. She continued her education at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY and went on to receive certificates in marketing and communications from New York University. She is an active community volunteer in the Girl Scouts of Greater New York. She is a member of the Throggs Neck Merchant Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the Waterbury LaSalle Home Owners and Civic Association, and holds the position of Treasurer for The American Veterans Women’s Auxiliary, Post 38 in the Bronx.
